Hi y'all! The listmom for one of my other groups is collecting scarves, gloves and hats for families affected by the flooding in MN a few weeks ago. She wants to distribute them by Halloween. If you're interested in helping out, you can get mailing info, etc. on her website (http://www.lovesmanycloths.com).

Thank you!!!!! :muah:

This is a GREAT last minute project!

Misha, if you don't mind - please update the title of this thread to "Last Minute Charity Knitting for Flood Survivors", so we can get some more knitters involved!

Here are the details I got from the website:

"Trick or Treat" Challenge
DEADLINE OCTOBER 31st!

I would like every child to be dressed appropriately in Chilly Winona, MN

About 50+ families are without warmth in Winona, MN due to the recent FLOOD!

Cold temps have arrived and we have children without many Winter Wear necessities!

Our recent freeze advisories have made bus stops in the morning very COLD!

Hats, scarves, mittens
are desperately needed for all age children.
Mostly for young teens and elementary ages.

Please send to:

To change the title of your message, first click "edit" to change the message, then when the edit screen opens, click the other button underneath your message that says, "go advanced". Then you'll be able to change the title.

I'm in! I have one crocheted scarf ready, and one knit one going onto the needles tonight. I'm also trying to persuade my sister to whip up a scarf, and I'm going to be calling a friend in hopes that she will make one as well. Thanks for the patterns!
