View Full Version : Paton's Shetland Chunky
Hi all -
Has anybody knit anything with Paton's Shetland Chunky? I noticed it in the store and some of the colors are very nice but wondered how it knit up. Any advice is greatly appreciated - thanks!

I actually used Shetland Chunky Tweed for my very first project, a square for the WUA afghan that my friends were making! It was a nice yarn and I thought it knit up very soft. I wouldn't recommend a busy pattern, as the pawprint pattern that I knit into the square was totally lost with the nubby/tweedy nature of the yarn, but the solids would be fine for that.
I don't know how it wears, as we obviously gave it away, but it knit up quite nicely!

I just knitted a scarf for my mom in it. It seems pretty soft, but it's for Christmas and she hasn't worn it yet.
Here's a picture of it:
