Okay...what exactly is the definition of a "colorway?" As opposed to just "color."

I thought about just pretending I understood, but I figure if I don't ask, I'll throw the word into conversation incorrectly and one "those looks." :)

I generally use colorway to refer to a yarn with multiple colors as opposed to a solid. But, I think you can also refer to a solid as a colorway as well.

Colorway typically refers to two or more colors and how they merge or blend together, or contrast with each other..

Me too! I know in fabric, it means the grouping of colors for a particular design of fabric. They do design a in a blue colorway, red color way etc. This makes much more sense!:doh:
