I'm still working on my pullover, and I've found the link for those who might want to see the whole pattern. Women's Shaker Rib Raglan Pullover (http://www.bernat.com//pattern.php?PID=2298)
The back, which I'm working on now, was mostly
RS row: Knit across
WS row: K1, *P1, K1B, repeat from * to last 2 st, P1, K1
No problem, it makes a nice ribbing. Then I got to the decreases. Here are the instructions I'm following, and where I wonder if I'm doing something wrong...
All sizes: Next row: (RS) K3, Sl1, K1, psso. Pat to last 5 sts. K2tog, K3
Work 1 row even in pat.
Rep last 2 rows 23 times more. 55 sts
Note that I've removed the st info that doesn't relate to the size I'm making.
I have no problem following the pattern, except that now the ribbing isn't straight. The RS row is all knit, and at the end, I've decreased by 2 sts. The next row is my WS row, but with 1 st off, the "rib" is now off by one. Then when I get to my next WS row, it's "off" by one again.
In your opinions, is this the correct way for the pattern to progress, or am I misunderstanding something? The picture is done in camouflage, so it's hard to see...although the ribbing looks straight.
Thanks in advance.
