I was VERY excited about this swap until the Canada Post lost my swappee's package. I am so upset. She still hasn't gotten it. We have a trace in now at the post office. I hope she gets it soon. It's going to be difficult trying to get all those things again and remembering where I got them. Also, I would not have the time to knit "a little something" for the box a second time. Grrrrrrrrrr...

Hi Carla1019,
I have been keeping an eye on the mail, but no box/package as of yet. I hope that it arrives soon. I can't wait to see what goodies I am receiving. :)
I guessed you were my swapper right away when you added me as a friend on Ravelry, lol. I knew you wanted to keep it a secret so I didn't want to announce that I knew who you were. Thanks for being a cool swapper and I will definitely let you know when I receive my package.

WOW! I am LOVING all the packages everyone is getting. Everything is SO wonderful. Thank you all for posting pix of your goodies. I hate to hear that some packages are MIA. HOPEFULLY, Santa will find them and get them delivered to their intended parties soon.
I have to send a HUGE APOLOGY out to my partner. I had EVERY intention of mailing your package out before the weekend but due to other things, I was unable to do so. To top it off, I was running late this morning and walked out of the house without the package so I can't mail it until tomorrow (HOPEFULLY). Sadly, it has been done for a while but... life happens. I hope you enjoy your package though. Do you know who I am yet?
Yes, SteveDallas, you were the only "dude" in this swap. We are SOOO thrilled you joined us though!
No. Not everyone has figured out who their partner is so don't feel out of the loop if you've not yet guessed.
For those who have yet to mail your package (me included) DON'T FORGET that this weekend is the DEADLINE for mailing your packages!!!
Thanks again for everyone sharing your wonderful packages! I enjoyed catching up on what's been going on the past few days.
Gotta run now and figure out if I can set up a call with some clients. Fun fun fun.
pictures pictures!!! here we go!! what a lucky girl!!!:woot: by the way, i've already opened the chocolate... mmm soooo good! Thank you Karen!
OMG! when i came home first thing i did was to put the snowman on the xmas tree... and forgot to take a picture of him!!! can you believe it??!! i'm just crazy.... hehehe!

Oh Sig! You got the "My So-Called Scarf" pattern! I LOVE this scarf. I'm trying to finish my first one right now as a Christmas present for my mom. I just love the way the stitches turn out on this. It is a wonderfully dense scarf. You'll love it! What a wonderful package!

I'm sorry USPS for all the bad things that I have said about y'all over the years, because you delivered my yarn in record time.
I'll post a picture later, but here's a list of what I got:
2 hanks of Berroco Peruvia in a pretty blue-green shade
snowflake stickers
Christmas note pad
snowflake ornament
a ball of Sugar N' Cream
a yummy smelling cinnamon candle
an Irish Hiking Scarf pattern
AND a hand knitted snowflake dishcloth!

YAY!!! I finally got my package today! I picked it up on my way to my first class but didn't open it until between classes, so I had stuff all over my desk when the teacher came in for that class. The result is that I don't have any pictures of all the stuff all wrapped up. Actually, I don't have any pictures period at the moment. I have to go locate a camera with charged batteries, lol! Anyways, here's what I got:
1 ball of Austermann Step sock yarn, its lovely self-striping yarn but I can't tell if it has the color on it anywhere (maybe 05) because the label is all in German and there is no number or word after "Farbe:" (I speak SOME German) so something is going on with that. Its actually EXACTLY the yarn I was drooling over in my lys a couple of months ago, but didn't have the money for.
Amazingly gorgeous stitchmarkers made by a friend of hers - I can't wait to put these to use but I promise not to use them until after I take photos.
Yummy apple cider mix!
A set of holders for dpns - one of those items I've always wondered how well they would work but never actually managed to try out.
Point protectors for circs - especially useful as I knit a ton of hats, but I've never had any of these, either.
A pattern for a cell sock (I have to admit that in my preliminary perusal of the patterns before class, I assumed that it was an actual sock and was very curious as to what a "cell" stitch looked like... then I read it and realized, ha, its actually for a phone!!!
A pattern for some wrist warmers (which I need to knit because it is FREAKING COLD OUTSIDE!)
"My Little Knitting Book," which includes things like a page to keep track of what needles you own so that when shopping, you know what needles you don't need to buy, a "foot length vs. shoe size" chart, and a "Yardage Ball Park" for sweater knitting -wish I'd had that one before I knit my angora sweater, it would have saved me some searching for yarn!
And lastly, the world's cutest little tape measure, it has a dog on it, I've never seen anything quite like it! I've needed a tape measure for ages and haven't found one I really like... I'm happy to say I really LOVE this one!!!

I figured that the body parts would fall off the sheep, I did NOT figure that the mug would break, or the yarn be ruined, and I'm trying to figure out how to make things right OK so don't get so mad about it. When the pieces of sculpey things fall apart, they are very easy to glue back together, but a) its difficult/impossible to pre-glue them so they won't fall apart and b) I tried my best to make it so they wouldnt' do so. I've wrapped things using toilet paper, paper towels, tissues, and all kinds of things before without having any problems with things breaking, and toilet paper happened to be what I had available. I'm working on a very very limited budget and I made sure that I had enough money for the swap, but I don't have ANY extra at all, which means I have to start all over again if I want to make things right, and it WAS going to be a surprise, it was just going to take a little while, but never mind. And next time, maybe thing about the fact that I was really excited about this swap and wanted to make my partner happy, and then I found out that everything broke, and it was a waste of my time and money because of everything breaking, and that I was upset myself, hm?

This was just an accident and accidents happen. Let's try to take step back here and remember that the people involved are all nice people and things that get said don't always come across in type they way they do in person. If you have a complaint please take it to PM or email from now on, too.
I won't delete this for now, but please let's move on so no more hurt feelings.

I usually try not to get involved in this stuff, but, I must say how sad I was to read the post bashing Jess for the fact that her package didn't make it in one piece. I know you are sad for your friend Knitpixie, but isn't the true spirit of what jess was trying to do what really counts? I sent a mug in my package and had a thought it might not make it in one piece. Thats the chance you take sending breakable stuff, no matter how well you try to wrap it. I volenteered to help out if someone had a problem with a package, and woul;d have been happy to send a new package to your friend if asked, now lots of feelings are hurt in something that was supposed to be fun.

I am sorry that I said that publicly...but in your post it sounded as if you knew this would happen and it was ok with you. I get that you are on a limited budget ( I am too) but when sending breakables toilet paper isn't a good idea I will retract my post. I got the feeling that it was not a big deal to you that her stuff broke, but I should have handled this differnetly and I do apologize for my flying off the handle. But she was very upset and then I read your post I mis understood, talking in person and reading something often does not have the same meaning to everyone . Again I am sorry Jess Hawk. My post was rather mean spirited. I am sorry for making you feel bad as well.

Okay, here goes... I'm attempting to track the received packages. This doesn't include those in transit (I'll try and update list as people post they got their goodies) but rather only the packages that have been opened by the receiver.
If you have received your package but do NOT see your name on this list, PLEASE let me know. This list will also help me know who hasn't gotten their packages so, if necessary, we can track down the sender to learn status or get an angel working to earn their wings. LOL Sorry, I couldn't resist the "It's a Wonderful Life" reference.

Boy, I really need to think of something nice for my mail man. The poor man has been being stalked for so long. Honestly, I have placed orders and am patiently waiting on yarn but good grief it is snowy and I don't want anything yummy sitting on the porch. So I am out the door as he drops off the stuff. Can you believe he has only brought junk (bills/ads) for two whole days??? I am dying to get my knitpicks order that shipped the 28th it has dd's birthday present in it. ( I am so excited she is getting her own options I am tired of sharing) So how are all of you rewarding your mailman this year after all of the stalking?

Speaking as a former paper carrier - homemade things are always appreciated. I got a lot of $$$ for Christmas from my customers, and that was wonderful (the first time I ever had a $20 bill of my very own!), the gifts that stand out most were the huge plate of homemade pastries and HOMEMADE caramels I got from Mrs. W, and the divinity I got from the people with the orange box.
So the point is, a scarf would be a good idea, actually! (or cookies)

Thank you thank you Jennie (knitprincess)!!! I got my package today (as you said) boy it came super fast! I took the bus home and got home early (mom usually picks me up at school later) and she said it was because I knew I was getting my yarn :P. omg you are sooo nice and such a good person! :cheering: it's amazing what you did for me! but my dad's camera is being stupid and my phone can't sent pics to email...:pout: but i'll explain to everyone..hehehehe
She made me fingerless gloves! yes with a thumb too! they're in pretty pink and white wools. I love them soo much! I'm wearing them right now cloud9 they fit perfect! and if someone asks me if I made them I'll say "No, someone who  me did!" it's my fist knitted item that someone gave me. boy does it feel good to receive it!! and she is so modest with her work, they're great Jennie ;)
a hank of fingering weight different pinks wool for socks from 100purewool. :inlove: It's funny because i was trying to guess what it was (she explained it in her card but i was a good little girl for santa and opened that last as she said) and my mom was like "is that malabrigo?" and I knew it wasn't because they don't make such a fine weight..so i was thinking it was 100purewool!!! I'm such a yarntard.
2 skeins of Bernat Baby fingering weight yarn in a light pink which her bbf said would be perfect for socks and she's right!!! it's soooo soft..hehehhe socks for....ME!
3 skeins of sugar'ncream in pink/white colorways and one hank for cotton yarn in white. I love the way everything matches and works well together!!!
Stitch markers that her friend made for me!!wow I wish I could photograph them. They're beautifully made. one even spells out my name Sam!! thank you *knitpixie* :woot:
A lot of Hot chocolate...mmmm and chocolate which I already am starting to eat. a can of tomato soup!! i love that on a cold day (it snowed a little today!) andd 2 of these mixes that you heat up in the micowave, molten chocolate caramel cake and hot fudge browie!! mmmm guess what I'm having for dessert?
These cute christmas ornaments.. a kitty holding a candy cane, a snowman with a cheerful smile, and a plush santa.
also a notebook i can write things in...and a folder of patterns for socks and fingerless gloves! these are patterns that i would pick!
Everything was so organized and carefully packaged. You did a fantastic job Jen honestly. I appreciate everything you did to make this an awesome swap. Thanks again for knitting me cozy mitts and making my day so great

Hey Meghann, you should have gotten an e-mail with your tracking number in it. It was sent out yesterday. I meant to get it out last week but ended up with a nasty cold and laid around the house staring at the ceiling tiles. It was sent priority so it should be there in another day or two (hopefully tomorrow!)

Well, I really DID end up stalking the mailman tonight since the truck didn't pull up until after 6 pm! I went out to check and he came cruising down the street, so there I am, already in my pjs, waiting for him! And it was worth it because my package arrived from Alex today!!!
The first thing I noticed was the heavenly smell coming from inside the box..it's a homemade soy candle that smells like cupcakes! I also got a skein of gorgeous hand-dyed sock yarn...two different sets of beautiful stitch markers in a little snowman tin, a dark chocolate truffle bar (hands off!!! :) ) and some yummy Gevalia coffee (decaf, like I asked for!)
Thank you thank you! I love it!! :cheering: :yay: :woot:

cdjack (Courtney),
I can't believe your package got there so fast! :cheering: I mailed it out Saturday morning.
I hope you enjoy the yarn-at the yarn store we (me and other customers and staff) had a good time deciding what we thought looked most 'jewel tone'. :) I really tried to go with the snowball theme and it was fun coming up with 'snowflakey' ideas!
Enjoy!

I got my package today! :cheering: I picked it up from the post office and then had to wait through 3 kids dentist appointments to get it home and open it.
When I finally got it home it was full of wonderful surprises! There was some gorgeous, soft, deep purple Ultra Alpaca yarn I can't wait to work with...beautiful hand made stitch markers in their own cute tin...a hand made cute as can be snowman...some Triple Chocolate cocoa I'll be enjoying later tonight...a bag of delicious Lindor Truffles that I know are delicious because I ate 2 (um, 3)...and a candy cane that my kids are eying!
Thank you so much Riss! :muah: It's been a wonderful swap!
Please notice Mr. Snowman peeking out of the goodies he rode across part of the country with to come live with me!

it's standing here beside the door.
I hate to send it and say goodbyeeee.
But Christmas is coming, it's really soon,
Santa's coming in just a few moons,
Already I'm missing it so much I could cry!
Cause it's leaving, but not on a jet plane,
don't know when it will arrive,
but oh, babe, it can't wait to gooooooooo!

Mulderknitter, don't fret yet. Some of us (unfortunately me included this time) are a bit pokey about getting our package mailed. Sadly, mine has been boxed up for close to a week now and I have YET to remember to take it to mail. Okay, that isn't entirely true. I did go one day but the line was WAY too long so I told myself I'd just go back later...and have failed to do so. I WILL get it out by the deadline though so...

OK Ladies and Gents, it`s Yarn Porn time again!
My swapper mailed my parcel from another city in Canada YESTERDAY! Imagine my surprise when the door bell rang today and it was, yes you got it, THE MAILMAN with my package (no refrigerator box). And OMG what a wonderful package it is!!
:note: On this cold day at Christmas my swapper  gave to me (sing everyone, we all know the tune On the First Day of Christmas)...
- 1 pretty silver plated Christmas tree snowflake ornament with lovely blue Swarovski crystals
- 1 container of Tetley Herbal Mint Tea
- 1 bar of Lindt 85% dark chocolate
- 1 box on Lindor extra dark chocolates
- 1 blue hand knit wash cloth with a Christmas star in the centre wrapped around a bar of hand made Goats Milk Soap in Georgia Peach scent (bought at Christmas in Paris, a craft show that takes over the whole town of Paris, Ontario one weekend in November every year)
- 4 skeins of beautiful soft Caron Simply Soft in RED for the shawl pattern
- 1 skein of Bernat Handicrafter Sparkle Christmas in red and silver for the dishcloth pattern
- 2 patterns in a plastic sleeve; Melissa`s Christmas Bell Dishcloth and Cameo Shell Stitch Shawl
- one pretty card with a touchingly beautiful note in it
- (AND I left the best for last)... 1 skein of Patagonia Nature Cotton HANDPAINTED in a gorgeous blue colourway, and I have no idea yet what I am going to make with this lucious yarn, but I will figure it out (or perhaps I`ll just sit here and touch it... forever, it could become core stash)!!
- thankfully no partridge in a pear tree :note:
OMG I just don`t know what to touch first, or smell first, or knit first. What a wonderful box. A red shawl, all for ME! I have never had handpainted yarn before. I am soooo excited, *says she with her mouth stuffed full of dark chocolate*.
Thanks so much Ann (Knitgal)! I am so very thrilled with my parcel and all the fun we have had for the last month.

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2048/2091644469_7af6a97647.jpg
Left to right-ish:
- a knitting journal
- gorgeous green velvet sparkley stocking
- Stuffed moose (When I started opening the package and my grandfather asked where it was from, he immediately suggested there would be a moose head in there after hearing it was from Canada. The first thing I pulled out of the box? The adorable stuffed moose! We couldn't stop laughing. :D)
- adorable snow man towel holder
- a pen with my name on it, a cute purple bear key chain, and a Santa Garfield pin
- a BEAUTIFUL hand made card with warm holiday wishes
- A HAND KNIT SCARF!!!! Oh my god its so soft and squishy and warm.. I love it! I haven't taken it off yet! :D With all of the gifts I've made people over the years, no one has ever given me something hand made. I'm so in love with it. Thank you!
- a beautiful pattern for a sweater. I've never attempted a sweater before, but this one is so beautiful. I'm going to give it a shot!
- 6 skeins of Bernat Satin in a gorgeous burgundy color that I've never seen before. (just short of 1000 yards!!!!! :inlove: :noway:
- Needles in sizes 3 and 6, plus size 3 circular needle and two cable needles!
I'm just in complete awe. I can't stop touching this yarn, and the scarf will not leave my neck until next summer :D

No, you aren't. My partner seems to have disappeared as well. She was sending messages to me via another acct, but the last time I heard from her was over 3 weeks ago. I don't have a clue if she has sent to me yet, and I have not rec'd. I just hope she is okay.

I like cold weather, but we're getting crappy ice spit here. I was over at a friend's apartment (having ridden with some others from another friend's house to his apartment), and when we rode home he scraped his windows and kind of expected the windshield wipers to handle things like they usually do (at least until the defoggers take over) ... within a block it was iced over completely, but no place to pull over! He could still see enough to know we were on the road and not going to hit anyone, so we just drove slow until finally we got to the mall (halfway there) and he chose to pull over, rescrape, wait for the car to warm up so the ice would melt, and then continue. It was very scary. I hope nobody's packages are caught in this, that would be awful!

I have an awful terrible confession to make. :(
Wednesday I was all set to sign the papers for my new house, and get to the post office...
I came home with the new keys, and the phone rang..my daughter had a 103 fever and a HUGE lump in her neck.
She was admitted to the hopsital that afternoon for a lymph node infection. And didnt get home untl today.
So, Im here, in my tornado mess oh a house...(I stayed at the hospital with my daughter all week...and my husband and my BIL tried to move our house to the new place...its been a huge mess.) and my computer is still hooked up. but not for much longer.
BUT...Im taking that time to print a shipping label, and scheduling a pickup for the packeage TOMORROW from my new house...
So...ummm...swapper....
Its leaving tomorrow.
I promise.
And I am so so so sorry for making you wait so long. :pout:

Yeah I'll agree with that. UHG!!
Worst moves for us were the 4 between November 15, 1987 and December 19, 1987. I had a toddler and a literal newborn *Nov 9, 1987*. We got into the house on December 19, and what both my husband and I remember best was our almost 3yr old daughter ordering us to put up a Christmas tree, first. After all Santa couldn't find her if she didn't have a tree. LOL. Don't you want a bed to sleep on? Pans so Mommy can cook dinner? Dishes so you can eat dinner? No. Just a decorated Christmas tree. The mind of a child... giggles.

I got my package on Sat :woohoo: :cheering: Thanks so much Joanne (msmelody). Ok, lets see if I can recall everything, then I will add the picture. I got 1 skein of super soxx in blues, 2 skeins of regia sock yarn in some nice earthy brown colors, a spool of elastic that I think you add to your sock knitting (this is very handy since I have been wanting to knit knee socks, but couldn't figure how they would stay up!) some stitch markers in purple, a beaded bracelet, a small velvet bag (perfect for storing markers), a regia sock knitting booklett, some strawberry flavored green tea (I think I will break that out tonight), a large bar of chocolate, a book mark and post cards from England (the book mark is very cool, very English looking :p ) I think I got it all. I am so wishing I was not trying to finish up Holiday knitting, I am wanting badly to cast on a new pair of socks!

GOT IT!!!!! Hug's to Ronda! what a great package!
i can't find my camera anywhere...i think i left it at my in law's house...so you'll just have to use the camera in your mind's eye as i describe my goodies!
-Everything came packaged up in a nice wine bottle carrier! the perfect place for me to now stow my needles, OR i thought i could pop a hole in the top, and keep my yarn i'm knitting with out of harm's (otherwise known as owen or his kitty friends) way.
-i got some AWESOME cherry hill farm sock yarn in a River Bed colorway. beautiful blues, purpleish blues, jade, and olives. SO pretty
-a sweet sock pattern that was part of a kit with the sock yarn. great pattern! i can't wait to try it!
-Peppermint Hot Cocoa mix. i LOVE mint hot chocolate. christmas in a cup!
-a cute santa apple cinnamon scented soap. awesome!
-a card with $10 instructing me to buy my knitpick's options sock circulars. (she tried ordering them, but they weren't in stock). this is awesome, because i can add some of my dough and buy one each of the fixed circular Harmony needles!!! YES!!!!
awesome swap! i wish i had the funds to do the next one, but i'm sitting out for the next round!

BAH! Thank you soooo much! You really outdid yourself and spoiled me royally! I got:
2 skeins of Noro Silk Garden in a really pretty tan/blue/purple colorway. I've never tried Silk Garden and I can't wait!!!
8 cans of Japanese coffee - it's interesting she said you can get these cans in vending machines all over no matter how remote the town. I haven't yet tried them but I will! And in case I didn't care for it....she sent....
1 bag of Starbucks Christmas Blend coffee and a travel mug that says Yokohama on it. :) LOVE Starbucks!!!!
A bag of Japanese candy
2 sets of chopsticks which are truly lovely
A very beautiful traditional Japanese tea set - it really is lovely.
I will get pics up this afternoon!
THANK YOU SO MUCH BAH!!! I love everything so much. :):muah:

Good afternoon everyone! Just a little update info for you. As the final packages are HOPEFULLY all making their way to their lucky new homes, I wanted to let you know that I've put a list of BOTH those still waiting to receive their packages as well as those who have gotten their swap pretties at the BOTTOM OF THE INITIAL POST ON THE FIRST (1st) PAGE of this thread for easier checking.
I realize that some of you know that your package is en route. Your name, however, will remain on the "waiting" list until such time as the package is received.
That said, I have a few concerns so I wanted to check in with everyone. If you have NOT heard from your partner in a couple of weeks and/or haven't heard that your package is on its way OR if you mailed your package, believe it should have been recieved by now and haven't heard from the recipient, PLEASE send me a PM so that I can make sure to track down where things stand with all the packages. I've got MY list but in the spirit of "checking it twice" before I begin bugging people, I'd appreciate your input if you fall into one of these categories.
On the flip side, if you see your partner's name on the "waiting" list and you have mailed their package already, if you can let me know that so I don't bug you unnecessarily, that would be appreciated.
Thank you all for your participation in this swap and for working with me on tracking all the packages out and those received. Want to make sure everyone gets a little something for this Winter holiday season (or, if necessary, get an angel working on something).
Have a great day!

oh that gives me a giggle. I am interested to see how this works out:??
I wanted to giggle, but at first I thought perhaps I had officially joined the mentally ill I work with! I actually found myself wondering for a minute if I was completely remembering wrong!:teehee: But Bree finally got her package after a loooong trip - and since her picture shows what I remember packing, I feel much better! And thanks to msmelody, bree was thrown for a loop in her guess that I was her swapper - a trick nobody planned!
Great swap, Heather! Thanks a bunch!

I am finishing up my final paper that's due tomorrow, so I'll post pictures as soon as I can. I think my partner went overboard and spoiled me, but I can't complain. I could not be more happy!

I has a package! :woot: From none other than yarntard, my swap buddy person.
Mind, my camera isn't talking to my computer right now (or the other way around), so I can't post pictures. Then again, they would need to be ... er, whatever the tactile equivalent of scratch-n-sniff is ... to get the full glory of it. I'm sitting here typing with one hand and petting the yarn with the other...
...mmm, soft...
Right, where was I? Oh yeah, the package. Which contained lemon green tea (of which I'm having a cup right now! good stuff  ) and a blueberry muffin mix, and then all this weird yarn-like stuff that must have been used for padding or something... ;)
*pets it some more*
Said yarnlike stuff consists of:
- TLC Amore plum print (purple and blue worsted-weight, and fuzzy!)
- Caron CuddleSoft, in a light blue
- Patons Grace in what claims to be lavender but is really a variegated white / pink / lavender / purple / blue.
- Bernat Satin, also light blue, and I cannot stop touching it omg. Really really soft. (I showed this one to my mom, who I think would happily have claimed it just to snuggle. *snicker*)
- Patons Brilliant, in plum, and I did not know that yarn this sparkly (it's gorgeous!) could be as soft as this is.
One might almost suspect, given the above, that I like purples and blues, and that I like soft yarn. Hmmm...
There were also patterns -- socks and fingerless gloves -- which I will tackle. Um. After I finish up the Christmas knitting. (oops?)

(and I'm getting a little worried about the package I sent out. :x I didn't get any form of insurance on it, or delivery confirmation; I'm kind of wondering if I should have. meep?)

Here's my package! I can't believe how wonderful it is!
It contains:
- 3 chocolate bars from around the world (I'm a chocolate addict)
- Mint cocoa
- a wonderful cinnamon candle in a gorgeous holder
- two patterns- Irish Hiking Scarf and a Cable-Lace scarf (I LOVE cables!)
- handmade stitch markers (i've been coveting everyone's)
- 3 skeins of hand dyed wool from Uruguay in "Pasionana" from 100purewool.com
- Stephanie Pearl-Mcphee's Casts Off (I've wanted this FOREVER!)
- a lovely handwritten note
- a gift for Lucy (which she has already destroyed).
- an envelope that I have to wait until tomorrow to open!
Thank you so much Ruth. It never expected something so lovely. You really put a lot of thought and effort into this. Thanks again!

Wow, lucky you! You DID get spoiled. I don't blame you about coveting the stitch holders. Have you noticed you can't find them here in the "great white north"? At least I could not anyways.
Too bad this didn't come tomorrow ON YOUR BIRTHDAY so you could have a double surprise! Anyways, lovely package.

I know...I must be slow after finishing that ethics paper...BUT I figured it out....it's REVS!
Hi Knitgal, yes, it was me who assembled your gift. ;)
I thought I put that in the card somewhere, both my KH name and my Ravelry one (Smoothie)...?
I'm really glad you like your package. It was so fun to put it all together for you and to try and stay hidden from you at the same time.
I got very suspicious when you added me as a friend on Ravelry a while ago, but you said you still didn't know who had you, phew...
I hope you like the yarn colors. I was hoping to find something a little bolder, but then nothing stuck in my mind like this yarn.
Jeanius allowed a bunch of us on KH to order some of this 100purewool through a coop she belongs to. It was awesome! (Thank you again jeanius!) I just finished an Irish Hiking Scarf for my dad with a different colorway.
Anyways, I'm glad you liked it all!
Thanks for organizing this swap astonH (Heather). I've had so much fun. Hope you have a great holiday! :)

AND....in news here.........
MY PACKAGE CAME!!!!! MY PACKAGE CAME!!!!!
:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:
OMG, lucky_alf2 spoiled me so rotten!
I got the box this evening on my way to the grocery store...and decided NOT to rip into it right away...so I went shopping, got food, came home...cleaned my kitchen...etc...
Only then, did I sit down on the carpet in the middle of the living room, to begin digging in.
I opened the box to see a pretty wrapped squishy package....so I pulled it out, and saw more goodies underneath!
I then moved into the office area with more light, and got to digging deeper.
(Mind you, I pushed the box across the carpet into the office and kinda forgot about the squishy package... :roflhard: )
So Im pulling out tins, and boxes, and tissue wrapped stuff...
In one tin, there is Dark Chocolate cocoa mix...and there was a skien of GORGEOUS "Caribbean" merino wool from Knitpicks around it...mmmm
Then I pulled out a cute ribboned card...and opened another tin! There are the most ADORABLE hand stamped by my pal Snowmen cards, with pretty ribbons and matching envelopes...AND a pretty pen!
Tin #3 had TONS of goodies! A cute Post it pad, some coffee, some needle size tags, the sweetest little knit cap ornament, and GORGEOUS orange stitch markers! :inlove:
THEN...I got to the tissue wrapped stuff! I coldnt beleive how much she fit in here!
Theres a pretty frosted glass mug with my name on it, and a pretty snowflake candle....:inlove:
And then I got to the bottom, and saw a folder of papers..and pulled it out...
Lots of directions on dying yarn! Very informative, and great for a novice like me. I was already wondering what to dye..when my daughter reminded me of the squishy package...:roflhard:
I opened that one to find 2 skiens of KnitPicks Bare....in 2 seperate sizes...and TWO bottles of acid dye! In ORANGE and TURQUOISE!
DUDE...
This was such an amazing thing to end my week with! It just made me laugh, and smile, and just get giggly!
I cant thank my pal enough! It is an amazing package!:heart::heart::heart:
I do have pictures...but I have to unpack the camera cord. :roflhard:

I have felt awful that I haven't been able to post about my most wonderful present from monzogary. WOW!!! I feeling awful when I got it as my computer has been down and the kids and I all have had another round of the monster cold but did it cheer me up. I will post pictures when I get off the nyquil and understand the error message the camera is giving me. But just so y;all know just how wonderful she is let me tell you about my package. She sent me lots of cocoa and a wonderful Cadsbury Royal Dark bar. I haven't touched it yet as I want to be able to savor it and I still can't taste. The stitch markers have beautiful glass beads and they are my first ever. There was a Creative knitting magazine that I will be reading tonight as I am feeling like I can actually read again. There was also a book about sock making. The yarn is divine. I got sock yarn by Lana Grossa (my first) and some very cool Fever that is a JoAnn Exclusive. We don't have a JoAnn's near me so I had never seen anything like it. But I have to say the very coolest is the very first handknit I have received since I was three. Mary made me a wonderful scarf. It has cables and ruffles it is so wonderful and I am so touched. My daughter even said oh mom she knit for you. I am always knittin for others and have yet to knit for myself. I cannot express how thought the scarf is. I treasure it.
Now to try to catch up on every thing I have missed this week.

Okay, now that the drugs are getting out of my system, I can brag about what Stirsmommy sent me.
1. Take and Toss sippy cups for my children (never can have enough cups)
2. Gingerbread cookies (cookies are GOOD)
3. Three tins of cocoa (hazelnut, chocolate, and mint. I will be enjoying and trying not to share with above mentioned children.)
4. Sparkle Pom Kit (hubby is going to have fun with this)
5. The Wonderful Wallaby: A Hooded Sweater for all ages (this is so perfect since I have been looking for a hoody pattern for ages.)
6. Last but NOT Least 2 hanks of MMMMMMMALABRIGO in VAA (I do not think I will be knitting with it any time soon. It is just to pretty , and I do not think my knitting ability will ever be good enough for this yarn.)
