Just wondering if anyone has any tips on spinning lace weight. Am I correct in thinking that you want a lot of twist to keep the lace weight together? My wheel is on the recommended ratio for lace weight, and I have the tension on the bobbin so that it winds on pretty slowly. yet, I cannot keep the yarn from breaking. Am I doing something wrong?

The thinner the yarn, the more the twist you'll need.

What fiber are you using to spin lace weight? What technique are you using (short draw, long draw, inch worm)???

If the yarn keeps breaking, you may be drawing too fast compared to how much twist your putting in it. Spinning laceweight just takes practice, practice, practice!
