Okay, now what I'm about to ask for help looking for I do not know the name of.....that makes it all the more difficult to describe, but I'm gonna try!

I am looking for a "thingy" that will hold our kitchen towel. We currently use the stove handle and it always falls off and pisses my dear hubby off beyond words! I, of course, laugh at this, but it just happened again and so off I went to my computer to get some answers from all of you!

When I was little, one of my friends mother had this thing that attached to the wall, not sure how, but when you put the towel in it it had these teeth-like things that gripped it so it wouldn't fall out. It's not large at all, it's quite small from what I remember, so do any of you know what the heck I'm talking about?? Or what it's called even??

I am willing to send a check to you for a million dollars if anyone can help me. I hope monopoly money is okay!! :roflhard:

I installed a small hook on the inside of the cabinet just below the sink. Works great. I like them hung up out of sight in the kitchen.

The thingy you're looking for is an old style towel hanger that I doubt they have even made since the 60s or so. Stores sell all manner of towel bars, hangers, etc.

Really?? It's that old? Wow, I had no idea. The towels would just slide off the hook if we used that kind. But thanks for your suggestion.

I know what you're talking about, I still see them around the kitchen area of stores like Walmart and Target and some kitchen shops.
It's kind of like this only singular, right?

Here's a cool site with lots of stuff. The one on the upper right actually clips on to the towel

That second link is the type of small hook I installed on the inside of the cabinet door. I think I found it at a Dollar Store.

The folks at your church have no sense of humor?

Some do, some don't....not that I'd REALLY let them dictate what "I'D" do in my own home....it'd make me think twice if I was in the market for one!!!
