The pattern says it used Homespun, what type of yarn is that?

its acrylic. By Lion Brand. I like it. It works up fast.

8 oz thick & think handspun 2-ply (oops, not homespun)

That is what the pattern states for the yarn. I was hoping it would be like the Noro Silk Garden stuff.

I like the sweater and the pattern of the yarn, now if I can figure out how to make it bigger, the pattern only lists a size medium.

Silk Garden isn't very thick and thin--just a bit.

Look for yarn that has the same gauge listed as the handspun (thank goodness not homespun :teehee:) as a place to get started.
