I want to buy a nice big hank of orange Malabrigo and can't seem to find what I want online. Anyone know of a good online store for some? Thanks so much!

I am not so sure about buying malabrigo online. Some stuff works for online buying, but "orange" malabrigo can mean so many things. I really recommend an lys, but if that fails, maybe a internet friend?

I buy mine mostly from www.personalthreads.com (http://www.personalthreads.com) but i gotta say if i had ever seen an orange malabrigo there i would have bought them out of it a long time ago...lol. of course now that i have said that, they probably got a bunch in since the last time i visited and you will get it all before i can look to see (their site is blocked from my office.... all the yarn pr0n i think)

anyway that's where mine comes from :)

i just spent some time looking at personal threads and i probably would have ordered some mmmm, but then i saw their shipping charges. $8 just seems really high for one hank, especially when the yarn only would have cost $6.57. :pout:

if/when i eventually decide it's worth it (and can't find that colorway at my lys), maybe they'll still have it.

I think $8 is pretty typical anymore. I shipped a package full up of yarn a couple of days ago (okay it was 3 hanks) and that was about what it cost me. Stinks but

i guess i'm still getting used to actually having money. i had been unemployed for a year when i started my new job a month ago. plus, i hate to buy anything regular price so i was only looking at the colors on sale. i guess i just have to accept that it's okay to pay full price for the real stuff (as long as it's not more than everyone else is charging). :teehee:

There's an ebay store called Quality Fibers - lots of Malabrigo for decent price. And the owner is helpful with picking and matching the colors.

I've had really good luck w/ this seller on ebay (http://stores.ebay.com/WC-Mercantile_W0QQssPageNameZstrkQ3amefsQ3amesstQQtZk m) She has an orange called Tiger Lily and another called Rhodesian . I used the Rhodesian from her for my squares for the VT healing blankets. It was perfect!

Here's a list of all of the shops that sell the MMMMM & on their main page they have all of the colors that are available. http://www.malabrigoyarn.com/locate.htm

The other place that I often shop is http://handpaintedyarn.com/index.php?cPath=61
Hope that helps!

i've only ordered malabrigo online once and it was from sandrasingh.com....it was on sale when i ordered a couple months ago but i don't know if it is on sale still. i'm pretty sure that if she doesn't stock the color you want, she can order it for you. SUPER quick shipping PLUS you can get a $5 off coupon if you send in a picture of your FO in the yarn that you bought! awesome
