Hi all!

I've recently found some old patterns for the original Mary Maxim sweaters and am very excited about them. But this is my first time using a knitting chart and I'm finding it very tedious to read the chart and keep track of where I am. Does anyone have any helpful hints on how to make reading the chart go a little smoother? Any tips will be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much. Happy knitting!

I'm not sure if you mean a colorwork chart, in graph style? If so, would photocopying it to increase the size help? And then with a marker, block off every 10 squares?:think:

I use Post It Notes. Put one just above the line you're working on.

I use a magnetic board that I got from a catalog years ago, possibly mary maxim. enlarge the pattern, put it on the board and use a magnetic strip to mark each line as you work it, sliding it up as you go.
