View Full Version : FO- Madison's Hat

Here is a new FO I started and finished today, so obviously quick knit and a stashbuster. Its getting cold up here and knew my kids would need some warm hats soon.

The pattern is Madison's Hat (http://slumberland.org/patterns/madison-hat.pdf) designed by Wendi Dunlap which I found on Ravelry (the model's name is actually Sydney).

The yarn I used was Bernat Softee Chunky in Faded Denim and, believe it or not, 4 strands held together of Bernat Softee Baby in White. The pattern actually called for 2 chunky yarns, and I only had one, but a ton of sport weight baby yarn.

This is my first completed fair isle project. Was pretty simple and straight forward, good overall pattern! :woot:

That is so cute! And wow, 4 strands of baby yarn - you were certainly creative to get rid of your stash. Love it.

Awesome! My cat is totally blown away. With all the fair isle floating around, I am getting inspired to start a new fair isle project!

Thank you all for your kind words about the knitting and my daughter! She certainly is a cutie, and she's my little cuddler. Such a sweet sensitive little one, I'm certainly blessed.
