Has anyone used Bernat's Bamboo yarn? I wanted to make a baby blanket out of it, but I'm not sure how it will wash or wear for that matter. I did knit a purse, and I love the feel of this yarn.
I would appreciate any feed back. thanks.

I've used the Wool-Bam-Boo yarn for a hat recently..I was wondering the same thing...how do you wash it...do you block it at all?

It's so nice and silky...seems you don't really need to do anything with it...

The yarn IS soft and lovely, but I found that it shed quite a bit while knitting with it. Also, since its care instructions are to hand wash, I don't know that it would be at all practical for a baby blanket.

I've used Bernat Bamboo to make two scarves; I loved knitting with it (used bamboo needles too!) and the scarves came out great, very dressy and "drapey", like silk and very soft against the neck. And the colors are very pretty also. I had no problems with it shedding or splitting, but even after very careful handwashing there was a lot of blocking needed.
