Hi,
I'm knitting sleeves, from the top down. The directions tell me to:

decrease 1 stitch at each end of needle every third row.

Does every third row mean I should decrease on row 1, again on row 4, again on row 7?

Or does it mean to dec on row1, row3, row5--in other words, every other row?

Thanks,
ctp

Hi,

I haven't knitted anything from the top down, but knitting from the bottom up you would decrease on the 1st, 4th, 7th row, etc, and I think that's what you're meant to do. HTH : )

Knitting up or knitting down, every 3rd row is every third row. So yes it's Rows 1, 4, 7, 10 etc...
