Hi,

I saw this really nice skirt and I'm planning to knit something similar. I know I'm not supposed to just show pictures and ask for the pattern but I'm really desperate

The skirt is this one:

http://www.urbanoutfitters.com/urban/catalog/productdetail.jsp?itemdescription=true&itemCount=60&id=13637038&parentid=W_APP_SKIRTS&sortProperties=+product.marketingPriority,-product.startDate&navCount=4&navAction=poppush&color=

I tried to figure out the design and I realised that the bottom starts off with 150 stitches of k3, p2 and then goes into cable (using 6 stitches) and reverse stockinette (using 4) and stockinette (using 9). But then the waist ends up at around 100 stitches of k3, p2 (flipped on the reverse side). Can anyone figure out where the decreases seem to be done? The skirt is made in front and back sawn at the sides. (if you click on the actual picture it would show more angles)

Thanks to anyone who helps!!!! :aww:

A-line skirts have the shaping along the side
seams - like this: /_\.

If you have the wider stockinette group along the edges, that would probably be easiest place to decrese, without having to worry about decreasing around the cable.

Hmmm. . .I'm not seeing decreasing anywhere in the photos. Which means that probably the decreasing is happening immediately before the top ribbing begins.
