Can you? I just tried to felt some superchunky Malabrigo in hot water for an entire wash cycle and absolutely no change...except now its wet.:shrug: Whats up with that?

that is very strange. you should be able to felt it. it's one ply, so that makes it even easier. :think:

did you add a little liquid soap? Did you wash it with a pair of jeans to help with agitation?

did you knit at a very loose gauge? if the fabric is already firm or at gauge, it won't shrink or felt much, the fibers need room to rub against each other and tighten

yeah I would say that Malabrigo has been one of the easiest fibers for me to felt in my front load washer. two cycles and done. Hope you can get it to come around to your way of thinking.

hmmm... interesting... I did wash it with some jeans and hot water, so very odd.

Jeanius80, I wonder if for the first time in my knitting career, I actually knit something perfectly at gauge, wouldn't that be a trip?!?!
