I finally finished my first sock!
The shape of the toe is odd. It looks boxy. I did the kitchener st. to close the toe. Is there a way to make the toe more round?
Thanks in advance.

Did you do any decreases in the rows before closing? A lot of sock patterns will decrease (usually paired SSK/K2tog on the sides) before the toe...

Yes.
Round 1: k15, 2tog, k2, ssk, k15
Round 2 and all even numbered rounds: knit
All odd numbered rounds: continue knitting one st fewer before and after decreases. Stop when you have 14 sts left on each needle.

I want to try this one (http://www.socknitters.com/lessons/toes.htm) called, 'Joan's Favorite Toe'.
It looks like it is a little more rounded.......has anyone reading this tried it?

Yep, I love "Joan's Toe"! I use it for myself and most of the people I knit socks for. I find it to be a comfortable, good-looking, and long-wearing toe (I think that it gives a little more ease in the toe area than most other toes and prolongs the life of the sock.).

I think it was suzeeq who just today posted on a technique for eliminating the "ears" on a kitchener-ed toe. It's posted as
"Kitchener Stitch ?s"

Hello, at doing the end of a toe sock its most likely you need to decrease and increase i don't really know how that would really happen :noway:
