I'm new to knitting and the pattern I'm about to start is telling me to slip a stitch. So am I just moving the stitch from one needle to the other or do I actually drop it?
Thanks!

Usually to slip a stitch, you insert the RH needle as if to purl, then just "slip" slide the stitch onto the RH needle from the LH needle - no yarn wrapped, no bring new stitch through the old, none of that. Just slide the LH stitch purl-wise onto the RH needle.
This is true whether you're on a "knit" row or a "purl" row.
