I brought Patons Beehive Baby Sport. It is 70% acrylic and 30% nylon. Is it me, or is this yarn hard to knit with. I also brough Lion Brand Yarn Baby Soft - 60% acrylic and 40% nylon. Same thing it is hard to knit with. Is it the acrylic or nylon which is making it hard to knit with, or is it me?

I was looking at knit pick's yarn for socks, and it has wool and nylon. Has anybody knit with knit pick's yarn? Any suggest of which yarn is best to knit socks?

:?? I am wondering, when you say it is hard to knit with those yarn with nylon, do you mean it splits easily, or it is rough on your hands or it is hard to keep the tension, or the yarn is stiff....? I have used sock yarn with nylon and haven't had any trouble knitting with it so far....

The yarn splits easy.

Softer yarn is spun looser and may split more readily. Do you have some needles with a different type of tip from the ones you're using? Either blunter or pointier, depending on what sort you're knitting with now.
