I would like to make the fairly easy fair isle cardigan in the SnB book. It calls for Brown sheep Lambs pride bulky. What would be a substitute for that? Is it a chunky weight? Could I use Patons Shetland Chunky?
It is 12st and 16 rows for gauge

Thanks

it looks close - I've also used WEBS brand Valley Yarns Berkshire Bulky, which seems to match closer on specs. Do you need it for felting? Cause I don't think the Patons will felt properly.

I would try the berkshire bulky - awesome colors. Kraemer has a yarn that looks alot like LP, one long twisted ply. I am @ work and can't remember the name right now...I used it for felting and it was great, but I probabl;y wouldn't use it for a sweater. It was a little too scratchy for me.
