Now that Toy season is coming, the news about recalled toys are getting more disturbing.

Now it's Aqua Dots (http://money.cnn.com/2007/11/07/news/international/toys_drug.ap/index.htm). Which has been found to have a very dangerous drug on its coating.

Isn't it awful? You have to be afraid to buy toys. Who knows what's in them?

We need to stop allowing China to make our stuff--they have no standards, apparently. Even the air quality is so bad there that certain races for the Olympics can't be run.

They need to take better care of their people. It's a shame.

Just heard yesterday as well of some Curious George dolls, with plastic faces, having lead in the paint and being recalled. It sucks. I have little kids and I hate this. We had some Thomas trains that we had to send back due to the recall a few months ago and I don't know how often my son has probably chewed or sucked on those toys. What next?

Aqua Dots were my DD's favorite birthday present :pout:

When I explained the recall to her, she took it pretty well though. We went to this site (http://www.fatbraintoys.com/specials/made_in_america.cfm) last night and made her Christmas list from the collection of toys that are made in the US. There are a lot of good ones!

Great website ^_^

I remember Lincoln Logs and Building Blocks being among my favorite toys growing up. Walking around toy stores it's amazing how much toys have changed, but I always end up gravitating towards my old favorites. Glad to see they're still around ^_^
