This seemed sooo sweet to me, and you folks are the only ones that would understand why: My husband gets up VERY early for work... he has to be at work between 4 and 5am... but always gets up early enough to allow time to drink his coffee and watch TV....

Well, I guess he was flipping through the digital guide, and saw a show called "Knitting and Crocheting Today"... it's on our PBS station and comes on at 4:30am... and he set up our DVR to record it for me!

I don't know, it just really touched me. This is a guy that knows so little about knitting that he gets impressed with my cast on!! Lord knows it would never occur to me to record a fishing show for him...

I haven't watched any episodes yet... But I will...:)

That is TOO cute! My DBF doesn't understand knitting, but he tried really hard to be interested. He even goes with me to knitting stores and tries not to die of boredom.

My DH goes with me too and he's the enabler! :teehee:

That was so sweet of your DH to do that. Every once in a while they sure surprise us, huh? :)

That was sweet!
Don't show him all these responses. It will go straight to his head.

Maybe you could surprise him and knit him something special for his fishing trips? Maybe a nice warm hat (if he does winter fishing), or some fingerless gloves?

Heck, you've probably already done all this, but it's what I'd try to do if it were my hubby (^-^)

That's SO sweet of him!!

Thanks to all of y'all... It's only taken 19 years of marriage to bring him around... luckily I am a patient person... NR!

Ulterior motive? Maybe --> I think he likes the knitting and crocheting cuz it keeps me home, instead of hanging out with my girlfriends... I still visit with them, but not as much -- I would rather be knitting... (which isn't a bad thing - whole 'nother story).

Matdredalia: I haven't really knit him anything (bad wife)... being in Houston (fishes in Galveston), and he is so warm blooded... wore shorts even when it snowed a couple of years ago!

Ronda: Hell No, I am not going to let him know how positive y'all have responded... he might ask me to cook or something....:roflhard:

BTW: yarnrainbow and SnarfyCat... uh, yeah there's a brother... and I hear he's having touble with his THIRD marriage... NOoo, not that I take marriage lightly, he's just a good guy that hasn't found the RIGHT person.... but, again... a whole 'nother story. And I know y'all are teasin'!:p But hey, it would be cool to have another knitter in the familia!

Sorry for the delay in response, work got crazy with preparing to have the 4-day weekend!

*falls off chair laughing*

Thanks for the warning on the brother!!! Guess Ill stick with the single thing et stay warm with my knitting as opposed to snuggling up with someone!!
