I am a subscriber to the Simply Knitting magazine (UK). A few months ago, the issue was mailed with very cute point protectors for circular needles. These point protectors arelittle sheep plastic figurines. I searched the internet for these sheep-moulded point protectors but did not find such accessories. Has somebody on this forum purchased these point protectors and where?

Uh, I was taught to use erasers for point-protectors. Or wine-bottle corks. Or stick them into the hand-wound ball of yarn [yeah, I know. these days, the yarn-balls are pull-out skeins. Not the same].

If there are cute little thingys, then I guess that would be just gravy.

oh those do sound cute .... I have 3 regular rubber ones, lost one somewhere

thank you for mentioning erasers I will go to the dollar store tomorrow ours always has tons of fun ones I am sure they will work perfect for the larger needles. I have used corks ( keep falling off ) thick rubber bands ( pain to put on and get back off ) the ones in the stores just seem a little high for just some little pieces of rubber KWIM

Thanks for your suggestions. I will try erasers of a particular shape . The moulded animal form of the Simply Knitting goodies was very pleasant.

It hasn't been advertised yet, but the Oktoberfest kit comes with a new pattern notation. It gives you the option to use the lacework barley sheath pattern, or when a customer was knitting a pair for her father and was searching to a manlier version minus all the lace, Lisa the designer came up with one and it's included as an option. You can see a picture of it here:

I think Guenter would just die if I made those for him. I'll have to consider it

I use these coil holders. I purchased them from JoAnne Fabric and Micheals.
