View Full Version : Any Pattern Testers out there?

I started looking for a dickie patern yesterday and to be honest, all the ones I found seemed way too complicated for such an easy accessory... so I wrote my own. It's one of those "any yarn, any size" type patterns that is adjustable for any size (I have a big head :aww: )
Anyone game for testing it for me?

A dicky is a fake turtleneck insert. It's got a turtleneck, but just some flaps to the back and front and can be worn with a V neck sweater for contrast or to keep your neck warm.

hehe that's it... it's warm on ur neck without being bulky under a shirt and less risk of getting overheated in the office at work. I'll take apic of the one I made as soon as I can get my batteries charged.. ggrr lol

Hi Donna. I got your pattern and want to know about how much yarn you used. Do you think one 4 oz. skein of worsted weight will be enough?
11-28-2007, 12:44 PM
Hi! I think I could give it a go if it's not too difficult. I imagine it won't take more than one skein?
Btw, I think it's not a good idea to post your email on line here in a forum... I've heard it can be picked up easily by those nasty computer virus idiots.

It took almost exactly one 3.5 oz skein of Patons Shetland Chunky Using size 10 circs, I'm not sure what that would relate to in worsted?
Victoise, thanks but my email is all over the internet anyway :) Because it's linked to my domain I get a good bit of junk mail already, I'm firewalled and virus protected out the wahoo and not too worried about viruses. I don't open emails unless I know who they are coming from or what they are about, and I know how to check them out beforehand ;) Trust me, there are far worse things to worry about than someone getting my email lol I'm a legal collector by day job and it's amazing the information that is easily available online daily for anyone out there by whoever knows how to ask. Emails in a forum are the least of anyone's concerns :)

Okey doke, Donna, thanks for the info. I once had my computer get all fouled up and someone told me it was because of posting my email online.... so I'm still believing that. But I see you're way ahead of me. cheers, Vic

No problem :) Hate hearing you had problems, probably had more to do with getting an email from a cloned account that was virused then by posting your emails. Hope it's better now :)
