I am knitting an lapghan for my mother-in-law for Christmas and last night I was able to spot a mistake a few rows down, it was just a knit stitch that I had purled and I was going to leave it figuring who would notice? Evertime I came to that row it bugged me, so I took the stitch down the number of rows and fixed it! I am so proud of myself, a few months ago I wouldn't have even bothered because I would have been afraid that I couldn't fix it, but I did!!

Fixing mistakes is an essential knitting skill. You never get so experienced that you stop making mistakes. (Although you do make less mistakes.)
