View Full Version : Does anyone have a pattern like this?

I was watching Shop NBC and fell in love with this cardigan sweater. It is a little pricey and I would always rather knit something myself if I can than purchase it. Does anyone have a pattern that is this or as close as you can get to this? I did look at the patterns on Knitting Pattern Central, but found nothing close to this. I especially like the band around the waist and the shawl collar. Much thanks for any help.

Could this (http://www.fuzzymabel.com/patterns/lavold/el_zarah.shtml)pattern be adapted?

How about adapting this? Don't knit the cabling, make it shorter, and at the waistline, decrease stitches and do ribbing (a twisted 1x1 rib would be interesting) for maybe 5"...then increase the stitches back and go on your way up to the armhole shaping. For the sleeves...cast on extra stitches, work the cuff design in something cute, and by decreasing out the extra stitches from edge of cuff to where the arm st st begin... you will create your own 'bell shaped' cuff. (you decide how dramatic you want the cuff to look by its total length)
I think this patten could easily be adapted. (VOGUE Knitting Magazine Fall 2006)
