View Full Version : worsted weight wrist warmers?

Does anyone know of any patterns for wrist warmers made with worsted weight yarn? I've treated myself to about 200 yds of MMMMMMalabrigo (I got some for my swappee, and she convinced me I should get some for myself - she didn't have to twist my arm very hard, though) and thought that might be a nice gift for myself in my cold house.

I've made a few wrist warmers with worsted weight yarn, I just make a rectangle though, fold them in half, stitch them up the side but leave a hole for the thumb. Frees up the thumb entirely, great for knitting! They look really good over gloves too when I need my whole hand warmed.
I make them like this because I'm scared of the thumb gusset, so I pretty much just leave it out...:aww:

Fetching and Dashing (knitty.com) are really nice and easy. You could make 2 pair of fetching from what you have - maybe give one as a gift?

Ravelry to the rescue. I looked up Malabrigo and then clicked the tab for patterns and selected mittens and gloves and got a bunch.

Thanks Jan! I love fingerless gloves - they are awesome for a last minute quick gift.
