View Full Version : FO - My So Called Scarf

I'm on a roll! 2 FOs in a week? That's extremely rare for me!
This is the ubiquitous MSCS (http://www.sheepinthecity.prettyposies.com/archives/000079.html) - my third one! This is my second time knitting it in Malabrigo...I just LOOOOVE this yarn and pattern combination. And this one is for me - yay! Only problem is that since I made this scarf pretty long, the middle part gets a little stretched out. If I make a fourth MSCS, I might go down a needle size to make a thicker and less stretchy fabric.

I LOVE the colorway you went with on this scarf. Beautiful. I love this pattern! WTG!

It's really lovely.
I like to make scarves myself, very soothing, so I always like to see others' scarfing adventures... :)

I love knitting scarves too...they require just the right amount of yarn and time.

I love making scarves too - they let you try out and perfect new techniques, but also take just the right amount of time that I don't get bored - I have a short attention span!

Looks very nice. :)

Wow!! I really love that! I saw some scarves at Bergners last week that looked a lot like yours--similar stitch, width, chunky...but weren't such a pretty color. Fantastic work!

Nice work!

Your scarf is awesome! Malabrigo and MSCS were made for each other. I bought my first two skeins of Malabrigo (in Tuareg, such an awesome color and feel), and I'm thinking this scarf would be perfect.
How much yarn and what size needles did you use?

Looks amazing - thanks for sharing that!

Thanks! I used 2 hanks for a nice and long scarf, and size 11 needles. My scarf has really stretched out since I've worn it, so using size 10 needles might be a good idea.

Well, if you don't want such a STRETCHY scarf, you could always mail it to me. I am sure that I could find some way to use it. Really. I don't mind.;)

It's really beautiful. And knit in the mmmmmm.....I would bet it's incredibly soft. I am afraid I would wear that thing everywhere...at work, in the house, outside. It would never be taken off.

Misty, I just finished a gift in Mmmmmmm, wore it around my neck for the last foot or so. She may never get it.
