Ok, I have reading your posts about spinning and dying yarn, I can't spin so I wanted to try and dye some.
So, here it is Christmas Eve, the ham is in the oven and I had free time, so I went ahead and tried the Kool Aide method.
It was fun and I think the next time I will try not to be so carefull and just go for it, I love the colors the way they turned out, I can't wait to knit with it. To me, this was a good way to practice and at some point I will try another type of dye, but until then, the cool drink stuff will work fine.
Here it is before drying it.

It was fun, and in the back of my mind I kept thinking if it turns out really awful, I can just re dye it a solid color.
I thought a baby top might look good too, have to see how it looks dry and wind.
