Here was mine, finished -- sorry it is blurry; if I used the flash, you can't see the cables. I actually regret making the sleeves long enough for my BF to wear because he doesn't. I am thinking of taking them off and shortening them (a bit too thick to just roll up for me!)

Carrie, that looks great! I bet you could snip the thread at the bottom of the sleeves, unravel a few rows and then bind off- might be easier than actually taking the sleeves off. You definitely shouldn't leave that beautiful sweater in a drawer. :)

That's looking wonderful! :cheering:

Thank you for reminding me about this pattern, too. I knew there was a cabled sweater that I'd planned some yarn for, but I couldn't remember. :teehee::thumbsup:

Carey, that is going to be GORGEOUS! I love the color, too, even if it's not from an 8 lb. cone. You're doing a beautiful job with your first cables. I'd love to do just the saxon braid on a scarf. Hmmm. :)

Carey, this is a beautiful pattern and you are doing such a grand job too. I looked at the pattern and it calls for a different yarn. I didn't notice it stating whether the yarn was a worsted or else. How did you know that LP worsted would be a good substitute? Did you go by your gauge? And do you have an idea of how much of the LP you will need to finish it? I understand that patterns are usually there to sale a certain brand of yarn, but I do wish they would state the type or # of the yarn they are using so those of us that have to subsitute can do so more easily.
