I got 8 balls of Stylecraft Life double knitting in Cardinal (red) which is about 2600 yards total. It was £1.25 a ball (about $2.50). My Bf wanted a red jumper but says he couldn't find the right shade of red in the shops, so I figured I'd make him one for his birthday in March. Hoping it's enough for a 44 inch chest ! Here's chancing the sweater curse...

Yeah yarn store is downsizing - they are now sharing with a souvenir shop so they got rid of half the craft stuff including all the embroidery and cross stitch stuff - still have yarn but not as much. Think it was half price
