This question may have been asked before, but here it goes!
I am knitting a sweater that calls for a crocheted slip stitch for the hem of the sweater. Is there a way to finish the hem using a knit stitch rather than a crochet stitch? I am not good at crocheting and would like to just finish everything in knitting.

The slip stitch would be like picking up sts and binding off as you go.

Another thought....most sweaters don't do anything to finish it off, so maybe you can skip it. I don't know why it would look unfinished without it.
