personally i prefer worsted weight, circs, sock patterns, and to interact w/ knitters.

Oooo. This is gonna be a yummy thread. I can't wait to see the answers as I don't have a wide range of experience, either. Anyway, here are my answers:

Worsted: Patons Classic Wool (merino)
Heavy Worsted:
Bulky: Lamb's Pride Bulky wool
Super Bulky:
Various:
I haven't worked with too many different yarns to have absolute favorites. I'm looking forward to hearing answers here!!!

Needles:
Circulars: I've used addi's once and I loved 'em. However, for my interchangables I have Denise. The more I read about the KnitPicks sets coming apart the more I love my Denise set.
Single Points: Boye
Double Points: anything bamboo
Cables:

Patterns:
Scarf:
Afghan:
Sweater:
Sock:
Bag:
Hat/Gloves/Mittens:
Misc.:
Again, I haven't made too awful much here, so I can't wait to see what others say. :)

Fingering: As of right now, I've only used Pagewood Farms Sock
DK: Closest I've come is Elann Pegasus
Light Worsted: Ditto for DK
Worsted: So far, a silk and Alpaca blend, can't remember the name
Heavy Worsted: Haven't got to this yet (can't wait!)
Bulky: Ditto for above
Super Bulky: Ditto for above
Various: I live in FL, so I really enjoy using Peaches 'N Creme.

Needles:
Circulars: I have Addi's, Inox, Denise, and Options--love them all.
Single Points: Don't use, except for decoration ( I love the look of them.)
Double Points: Wooden, Clover is good
Cables: Wooden

Patterns:
Scarf: So far, the Irish Walking--great cables
Afghan: Future attempts: Barbara Walker's Learn-to-knit and Lion Brand's Tree of Life
Sweater: Let you know when I get there ;)
Sock: Just finished my first, a pattern from my LYS The Local Needle.
Bag: Folds of Function from Folk Bags by Vicki Square. I love all these bags.
Hat/Gloves/Mittens: Future pleasures :)
Misc.: I'm a dishcloth fanatic, love making them as gifts.

Circulars: Addi's but mostly I use my Denise interchangables.

Afghan: I would like to try an Aran sampler pattern where you knit individual squares.

Sweater: Simple Knitted Bodice, Juliet

Sock: Fiber Trends Felted Clogs (as close as I get to socks)
Bag: Brea Bag

Hat/Gloves/Mittens: Cabled Newsboy Cap, Fiber Trends Snow Country Felted Mittens

Misc.: I use lots of patters from Interweave Knits and KnitScene Magazines.

Heavy Worsted: Havent really used too much

Circulars: Denise, but only cause I don't own any others
Single Points: Bamboo
Double Points: Knit picks nickle plated
Cables: Haven't gotten to cableing yet

Patterns:
Scarf: Not to big on scarves
Afghan: Improv rules
Sweater: Sweater wizard, I like the freedom to create my own
Sock: I like a gusseted sock with a reinforced heel
Bag: No into baggage! *smiles*
