I have fallen in love with the alpaca silk. It's the first real luxury yarn I have bought.:heart::heart::heart::heart::heart:

And guess what...I got it all on SALE!!! All together it comes out as less than half price! The sock yarn was the best bargain at 1 a ball.

:woot::woot::woot:

I LOVE my hubby!!! I LOVE sales! I LOVE yarn!!:woot::heart:

Wow! At the LYS down here Regia cost $10/ball, which is ridiculous!!! I used to get it for half the price. That alpaca silk looks yummy!

*swoons*

I indulged in yarn petting yesterday, but was only allowed out of the store with the one ball I walked in there looking for. DH is strict when it comes my stash buying.

Just wondering , What are you going to make with the Sidar Denim Sports Yarn? I have some I've had for a long time, wasn't sure what to do with it.
AND BY THE WAY, all your new stash is very yummy too.:mmm:

The Sidar is lovely. I used some for a tiny little baby sweater, because we were told she'd be about six pounds. It turned out she was 9.5! She only wore it once.

All the yarn looks yummy, have fun with it.

Rats!!!! Not only do you have Rita's cutest puppy in the world living in your window but now this!!!

I know I'm called 'Limey' but I am totally green with envy :mrgreen::mrgreen:

All that wool is absolutely gorgeous and to get it at the price you did is just outrageous!!!!

C'mon, cough! Where did you get this stash? That yummy, stripey yarn looks as though it came from the Netherlands, judging by the label. Is there any left? (I very much doubt it, knowing you). Did you go channel-hopping? Did you see it on the web? Get it in the 'pool? Mugged somebody, pulled a gun, blackmailed them or what?

How am I supposed to sleep tonight, knowing that there's a stash like that up the road? More than flesh and blood can stand:teehee:

Yours, mooching for my street map.

Brilliant Bargain

Nope, no blackmail or anything this time. I got it all in 'John Lewis' in Liverpool City Centre. I might have left a few balls... :teehee:

And I think I'll take the yarn and the dog to bed tonight, just in case :shifty:

It's OK - you can rest easy - I've packed my sleeping bag and thermos and will be banging on John Lewis's door first thing in the morning.

Hmm - I suppose I could make a slight detour though and get to the city centre via your street .....

Sleep well ....... :sleepy: very well ......

I should think that with DH having bought you all that wonderful stash it should NOT be the dog you take to bed tonight!!!

Nice haul though! Enjoy!

Yes, I agree with Christine- you should at least wear the fancy nighty for him!

Are you sure that's your husband? Sounds to me as though the aliens have landed.

Husband ...? oh, yeah, I remember now - he's that bloke who comes in the front door here, mutters something about can't find his tie and disappears out the back.

I occasionally catch a glimpse of him tapping away on a computer keyboard but other than that, he's no trouble at all.

I phoned John Lewis's today to check if they had any of that wool left and they said they were invaded yesterday by a glassy-eyed woman, toting a pink, knitted puppy, who kept shouting 'Porn! Outa my way!' and bought up the lot.

The sales assistant sounded as if she was still twitching when I rang. Couldn't possibly have been you, Jen, could it!

Ellie

(I'm STILL green about that wool)
