I just finished my first hat :happydance: It was supposed to be a Christmas present for my sil but a few unexpected events threw the entire holiday season off. I just gave it to her earlier this week and she loves it.

I also made a simple garter stitch scarf for my cousin in VIrigina with some yarn my son got me for Christmas a while ago. I'm new to knitting and am now experimenting with different types of stitches. More pics of my new projects will come soon :knitting:

Thanks everyone! I was really proud of myself when I finished the hat. It looks cuter on than it does in pictures. Its just a beginners pattern I got from LionBrand, but I think for a first try it came out pretty good :wink:

For the hat I used Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick & Quick in charcoal. For the scarf I used 1 strand of Patons Peruvian wool - I think the color was lemongrass, but I can't remember. I also used 1 strand of a yarn that my son bought me, but I can't remember the name . . . sorry
