I have a friend in my church congregation who has dreadlocks. They are large too. That means that her head + hair is 26" circumference. I want to make her an earflap hat, but cannot find a pattern for how to make an earflap hat with that big of a circumference. I know how to make an earflap hat, but when do I add the earflap stitches? HELP!!! (tia! :muah:)

Use your basic pattern but use thicker yarn (or maybe doubled yarn) and bigger needles. Do a swatch first to make sure the hat won't be too big or too small.
