all,

thanks much for your kind comments and praise! i'm thrilled to be almost done...seriously, i think its taken me six months to get this far. this graduate school thing is really getting in the way of my knitting!

jen, the pattern is called "march basic" and is available for free on the Berocco (sp?) website. the yarn is UltraAlpaca (also from Berocco) and it is fabulously soft.

i'll be posting another picture when the whole shebang is really, truly, finally done.

best friday to all.

betsey,

knitting it was fun! i learned lots and lots of things along the way, like making the neckline, m1k, increasing evenly across a row, making button holes, etc. i loves me some knitting, so it was a pleasure--it just took me a long time because i don't have lots of time for knitting these days.

seaming it together, on the other hand, left me very confused. so, i went to the LYS and got a lesson. the seams are far, far from perfect, but i can live with them.

the pattern is rated as "easy," so i think you should go for it!
