I'm knitting a top for my mother and it calls for Rowan 4ply cotton. I can't really find a color in it I like. Can anyone suggest an alternative (and preferably economical) yarn I can substitute? Here's a link to the pattern.

According to Yarndex it's a fingering weight cotton so find some that weight (sock weight) and it should work.

I looked on Ravelry and people have used a variety of yarns including Paton's Grace, Brown Sheep Cotton Fine, Jaeger Sienna, and more.
