I thought this would be fun since cats are so darned amusing!

This is my daughter's cat Martini. She's almost 2 yrs old. I thought this was so cute because that pumpkin was bigger than she was!

Here's a pic of my newest cat LiM (stands for Little Monster) in my washing machine. I opened the washer, bent over to pick up some clothes to throw in, stood back up and found him in the washer! Silly kitty  He jumps in the dishwasher whenever I open it up to load it too.

She's beautiful, is she a Birman? She looks a ton like the Birman, Xiggy, we used to have.

You all have adorable cats!

Demonica, she's a Ragdoll. She does look a lot like a Birman though. I'm not sure what the difference is.

These are my boys when the white one was just a kitten. The tiny white kitten is now not so white. He has started turning orange like my older fella. Jack (the white one) is also half again as big as Prince Charming (the orange one) and they both still try to sleep in this chair together. I should get a video of that sometime.

Well, I can't leave my princess out. This is KiKi who is not afraid of her cat carrier. She's part Siamese and part calico. She has the coloring and markings of a Siamese, but her points are all spotty like a calico. She also has the attitude of an elderly Siamese female cat.

She's always been pretty sweet, but it really a love now that she's old. She will sleep on my pillow at night if I let her and sometimes gets under the covers curled up next to me. When she was young though she wasn't always a lap cat, but she was always friendly with everyone. I think cats (and pets in general) are like people and run the gamut from almost over friendly to aloof. ;)

Everyone's kitties are adorable! Just want to shnuzzle them all! :teehee:

Betty Page is my calico kitty, Joey Ramone is my Himalayan, The 2 curled up together are Lion and Bat, and, Evil is my grey and white baby.

My cat Vivy loves to lay on the arms of chairs and hang her arms down the sides. She's so silly. Or she'll lay on her back with all her appendeges splayed out (usually she'll lay right in the middle of the hallway where people are walking )

Here's Vivy in my son's accordian case and getting into a box (she loves boxes and bags) and Maddy is my other cat. She loves hiding under umbrellas

Jan, As far as I know, there isn't too much difference between the two, except origins, and from what I've read is that Ragdolls are an offshoot of the Birman breed, which explains why the coloring is fairly close.

This is Punkin! She's actually our "grandcat", belongs to our DGD and is the littlest of five! We use an under the bed storage box as a litter box, changed twice daily! DO DO DOOTIE~gotta love it!. Punkin's favorite game is playing do do ball. PHEW...

Patches! Quick!!! before she runs and hides...scared to death of anyone but family members.

This is Tidbit, the three-legged wonder...we found her as a kitten, her missing leg was just dangling. The vet told us it had nerve damage so best to remove it and prevent infections. This one runs faster than any four-legged cat alive...zipppppppppppp! Try catching her when you want her to come in.

And this one's my big old bath and garden buddy, Bubbies! Sleeps with me everynight. Deaf since birth, he's pink where he's not white and white where he's not pink! Beautiful Blue eyes!

Thanks! He and Minkie are siblings. We found 4 kittens. Their mother had been run over. These are the only two that lived. One was dead when we found them and another died a few days later. Come to find out, their mothers lick their tummies to stimulate their urination, etc... the vet taught us to use a warm, damp rag, rub them near the genitals and not doing this is why the second one died. So, we became Cat parents. Bottle fed them as needed, gave them full water baths (putting them in socks to stay dry and warm), stimulated them. Minkie probably weighs around 17 lbs and Bubbies is around 19 lbs. Their bones are much larger than any of the other cats...guess that high protein kitten milk powder did the trick!

03-19-2008, 08:45 PM
I sure am sorry you lost the other 2, but it must have been very rewarding to save the 2 you have! Itchy was found by us at about 3 weeks old and the vet told us about the genital stimulation for urination, but he was already gung-ho on the litter box. All we had to do was wet his food so he could chew for a few weeks, and he was fine. I had the bottle milk all ready but he didn't want anything to do with it. I think his Momma had already left him for a bit when we found him, so he was doing his best to feed himself and was ok with solid-ish food.
I am glad your 2 turned out so healthy and pretty!:yay:

Itchy does that and he's not deaf!:roflhard: Anything, I swear ANYTHING on a table he will knock it off. Just so that it is on the floor. Aggravating as all heck! He doesn't do sign language but he does STARE when he needs food or water. I am sure your deaf kitty has mastered the art of sign "eye" language. I posted a pic earlier of my Little Monster in the washing machine. Here's a picture of my tiny princess Shanti. She is a dwarf kitty and even my kitten is bigger than her (she's 5 years old now). She's like a feather when you pick her up, but believe me she eats. She is obsessive over her food. If she hears one of the other cats crunching in the kitchen she will wake up from a sound sleep to run in there and shoo them away from "her" food.

The second picture is of my little man Oliver. He is the sweetest cat and loves to wake me up with kisses every morning. He is practically attached to me at the hip.

Everyone's cats are adorable! Here are mine:

This is Kys, it's an old picture, from our wedding on 14.9.2006. The photographer that was at home with my DH decided to take a few shots of Kys and the doggie. She's an elderly kitty (about 10), that just came to us and we took her in. She's much happier now, after some group therapy with Tyra the doggie and Mason the young cat :

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2296/2348443996_4710af9297_o.jpg

That's a picture from almost a year ago of our youngest hairy member of the family, Mason with Tyra, that decided to be his mother (sort of :teehee:). He's 2 months old and still has baby blue eyes:

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2253/2348443900_f1aa5a0ac3_o.jpg

And here he is now:

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2416/2347614631_9f5fd115b6_o.jpg

That's Mason and his "mommy" together (on the oddball pillow that I knitted):

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2082/2347614443_bfc4970378_o.jpg

Kys is a very quiet cat, while Mason attacks everything he sees as potential dinner (even un-cooked rice etc). That's our hairy family:teehee:

Newamy, Off US Hwy. 10, turn right at the caution light, cross the RR tracks, turn right on Neel St., continue until the road makes a sharp left. Bear right/straight onto the dirtroad "Barksdale Ferry Rd", first house on the right. Lots of boats in the front yard area, house at end of drive. I've got two kittens about 5 mos. old that will be back from having their neutering and spaying done about 10:15 in the morning. Tomas and Lucie, gorgeous, gray tabbies. Lucie has a touch of calico accents. I'll keep the coffee hot for you!

Yes. Our Buddy is a big black & white long hair bi-color. He'll give little love nibbles. Our female cat doesn't do that & she's the more affectionate one.

I was playing with a friend's cockateel today & she did the same to me. Would start to preen me. It hurts! She's a sweet girl.
