increase 3 stitches at the end of the row
i will be knitting a shawl and you are supposed to increase 3 stitches at the end of the row
and then knit 1 row
i am totally confused
your help would be much appreciated

You can use the knitted on, cable or backward loop cast ons for adding at the end of a row. :thumbsup:

Context is everything.
That direction could mean anything from casting on 3 more stitches at the end of the row to doing 3 yarnovers just before the last stitch to knitting in the front and back of the last 3 stitches.
Pls post a couple of lines from the part of the pattern that is causing the puzzlement and we'll have a better idea of what the designer meant.
