Woohoo! It's my first ever completed project! It's the Grandmother's Favorite Dishcloth (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/grandmothers-favorite) pattern, nothing too strenuous...but I'm so proud of it!

I learned everything from Amy's videos...I can't wait to move on to bigger and better things now. I'm still working on a boring garter stitch scarf (which was the first project I started) and I just began a pawprint dishcloth (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/knitted-paw-print-cloth) so I can learn the purl stitch...and then, with any luck, I will be UNSTOPPABLE! MWAHAHA!!!
*ahem* Or something. :woohoo:

Congratulations! :cheering: It's a great feeling, isn't it? I made one just like that and we are still using it---even after 8 years! But don't knock garter stitch; see my avatar picture to the left? It's a scarf: garter stitch, with short rowing (EASY!!!!!) and some simple double crochet around the whole thing. And good luck on your next project(s)---you are unstoppable; just think, knit n' purl, baby, knit n' purl. :happydance:

Somebody stop her! (in a Jim Carey voice). WTG looks great! My grams always made her dishcloths in that same pattern.

It looks like your stitches are even, and you are doing yarnovers. That's a fantastic first step. My first project was nowhere near that nice :aww:

Your stitches look so even! Mine were a mess for quite a few projects when I first started knitting. It looks great!

Congratulations on your first finished project!!! I'm sure you are anxious to get onto tons of other stuff - but like some of the others - I'm always going back to this basic dish cloth to knit - sometimes those are fun & relaxing! You'll have a ton of them before you know it! Good luck on your knitting ventures!
