I knitted this lamb for a friend. It is to remind her when she is low that God is in control. Jesus us the LAMB of God :grphug:

Anyway I started usingthe pattern that was in the Animals around the world book, but decided right off the bat that I wanted to do my own "thing" and made a lamb and changed lots of stuff. Like adding a better tail, some ears and more.

What a precious gift. I love the face, reminds me of Shari Lewis' Lamb Chop. I loved Lamb Chop, my husband loved Shari!

Remember I changed the pattern to fit my needs. So it does not look exactly like the pattern in the book :) Hope this helps :muah:

While I don't share the same religious sentiment, you did a great job and I appreciate the thought behind it. very lovely!:muah:

That is an ADORABLE little knit lamb. You did an excellent job of customizing the pattern into something even more wonderful. What a lucky friend you have that gets this cuddly reminder.

Why sell it. Here are the changes :muah:

First I used different yarn. I wish I knew the name its not right in front of me so I will post that tomorrow.

The pattern asked to do decreases every other knit row. I did it every knit row.
So it made it look more like a sheep/lamb instead of a ram.
I left out the horns and for the ears I CO 8 sts and just knitted 8 rows using the same yarn as the main part of the sheep. I also did the same for the tail but worked a couple more rows more then I did the ears. I garter stitched them by the way. I placed the ears closer to the face.
I did a different face then they asked for. I didn't really care for their face as it just looked well cheezy but that was my opinion.
Other then that I pretty much followed the pattern. :)
My increase I used was knitting in back and front of one stitch. So not to leave a hole in work. When you have to stuff the toy it makes a difference.
Oh yeah I also used size 7 needle. They used like size 2 or 3. Probably made up for the size loss in decreasing rows but it made the sheep look fat and sassy ;) .
Anyway hope this helps.
