OK, I'm taking the plunge and making my first sweater. Lots of obstacles already thrown in the way, and lots already overcome. (For example: my yarn is oh-so-slightly thicker and my gauge is oh-so-significantly looser). It's been a good learning experience already, so I figure I might as well make the leap to complete crazy-making.

What do you think of Jaden (http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEspring08/PATTjaden.html) with a v-kneck instead of a scoop? (That way I can wear a camisole under the extra-lacey fabric.) Unfortunately, I'm just not visually and style-wise inclined enough to picture it.

Thoughts? Warnings? Interventions?

 I'm not sure how a v-neck would look...what if you did a straight neck then you could still wear something under it...just wouldn't see it...

it is very pretty!

Yeah, I think you have the same hesitation that I do that such a flowy/wavey sweater wouldn't work well with an angular v-neck.

What do you mean by a "straight neck"? A crew neck? A boat neck? Or, just a more shallow scoop?

I think a more shallow scoop neck would work...
