So I went to the yarn store in my area. This is the second LYS and I quickly fell in complete love with it. It's glorious with an amazing staff and their knit night is a total blast. So anyway, while I was there, I special ordered some Misti Alpaca yarn for a scarf for my dad and bought some yarn for another project for my mom. Unfortunately, I didn't bother to check the weight of the pattern before I left (total newb mistake).

So now I have this 100% baby alpaca yarn, worsted weight, sitting in my stash bag. It's a beautiful hunter green and I have 218 yards of it. What would you suggest for a project?

And FYI, the most complicated knitting I've done are the socks I'm working on now. :shifty:

Go to the Misti Alpaca Website - They have some great patterns for scarves and fingerless gloves. I am a newbie, too, and have completed 1 in a pair of fingerless gloves without too much stress. Another suggestion in neck warmer. My mom made me one out of this yarn and it is so warm. Best of luck!
