Hi everyone :waving:

I'm knitting my-so-called-scarf in a very bulky (us needles 11) and glossy yarn. The scarf is for my mum and as the yarn has all her favourite colors in it I bought 4 skeins of it, but now I think that might have been too much.

There will be at least one skein left. I would like to do a hat out of it, but I couldn't find any pattern for a hat in bulky yarn...

Can you please help me? :notworthy:

Here's an idea--knit a narrow band of 'My So-Called Scarf' and make it long enough to fit around your head. Sew it closed and then pick up stitches around the top edge of it to make the rest of the hat. It will match the scarf. I did this with worsted-weight and really like the way it came out.

For the top decreases--here's a good hat pattern generator:

Hi Ingrid!

Thanks for that quick answer! That really sounds like a neat idea :cheering:

I will definately :X: the hat like that as soon as the scarf is ready!

I'm so happy that I found this page, you have already solved so many of my knitting problems. The videos were also very helpful and it's really good to know that I can find help somewhere, because there's no-one around here to help me in real life...

Thanks again!
