I am looking for a childs toe up sock pattern. I find all kinds of sock patterns for children, but not toe up. I have knit the cuff down. I like the looks of the toe up best.
Thanks

You should be able to just knit them toe up if you know the basics of how to knit a sock and the child's measurements. Here's a few I found though.

Here's a software program that helps you design socks for both methods.

I've seen cuff down sock calculators, but not toe up.

Well Jan, as usual, you found the perfect pattern. I just wish she had continued with her blog.
When doing toe up socks, I always use Judy's Magic Cast On. http://knitty.com/issuespring06/FEATmagiccaston.html
It's the easiest way I know to start a sock, and there are no seams, which is wonderful for feet like mine.

Thanks, Jan & Deb. I do the magic cast on with the adult socks I knit. I just didn't know for sure how large to make the foot around or the cuff.

Here are some average sizes that might help, but children come in different sizes so adjust as necessary. ;)
