View Full Version : how to make this sock

A friend found this sock at an online retail shop in the UK and was wondering if I could figure out a pattern to make it. That would be a NO! If I knew the ribbing and the heel, I could probably make a go of it. Anybody have any ideas?

The ribbing looks like standard k1p1 ribbing, but I not sure about the heel. It was probably done on a machine. The cuff is just knit back and forth flat for a certain number of rows so it splits in the front. Or so it appears since I can't see the front.

Sort of reminds me of a sock pattern in a book I have at home - I'm not sure which book, the sock I'm thinking of is knit w/2 straight needles. I'll find it when I get home later.

OK, this is the sock it reminded me of (hope this works!). It's in the book Vogue Knitting On the Go - Socks Two.
It's the same k1,p1 ribbing. the heel looks similar, that's what made me think of this sock. The ankle part is different, but that would be easy enough to change.
