This is the Basketweave Dress from Vogue Knitting Spring/Summer 2005. It done in knitpicks Shine Sport Wheat in size 4 needles. This dress is for me. it is supposed to be a tunic style but it is a bit long on me. I mis-measured i think. Let me know what you think.

It's beautiful! The length looks a bit long for a tunic over pants, but just right if worn alone. What happens when you sit in it?

Yea it's a little long tunic length but it seems to short to wear alone. I wore it today and I got a lot of compliments but I may hem it still.

So cute, and it looks great on you! I really don't think it's too long to be worn as a tunic.

I know what you meen it is a little long for a traditional tunic and a little short for a dress.
However i would still happilly wear it as a tuni, i think it looks lovely in the picture over jeans) and if i was having a confident day (and had your figure) i would wear it as a lovely short summer dress with a nice pair of sandles.

Beautiful! I like the length, maybe hem it a bit but I agree it looks a bit short to wear alone. :)

That looks fantastic! :yay: I'd want something underneath like tights or leggings, but I don't think you need them. It would be perfect for a warm summer night!

I LOVE it! I think the length is actually great as it is - you could wear it with jeans, leggings or on its own depending on the occasion. Beautiful work! :muah:

Beautiful Tunic/dress. I love anything that will cover my butt. So I think the length is just right.

Very nice!! I like it fine over the pants. Anything goes these days. If you like it that way wear it that way, then you have the option of wearing it alone as a dress, and if it was too short you might not want to do that.

thanks alot. this was a quick project because there were no sleeves. the back and front are done exactly the same so i keep notes so i don't have to keep measuring when i do the 2nd piece. i just keep track. so it took me about 3 weeks to do this project while doing the finishing work on my other projects.
