View Full Version : I am too lucky...

I am just graduated from a post-graduate program in Public Relations and my boyfriend's grandma gave me a large cheque as a gift. I am SO grateful and thankful for the generous gift and I started to think about perhaps buying myself a treat- like Knitpicks Options.
So I was telling my boyfriend about my idea and he said "Well how about I order those on my credit card for you?" and I said "but why? I can just put them on mine?" (I'm so dumb apparently). He said "No, I want to buy them for you!"
I am SO excited- we are ordering them this afternoon and he said I can get whatever else I want yarn wise, so I spent all evening last night looking at yarn!

What a nice grandma he has. Must make you feel great that your DBF family so obviously love your and welcome you with open arms into their family. Sounds like your BF is a keeper. Now you will have to use your new knitting needles to knit them both something special.

They really DO make me feel loved, especially compared to my own family sometimes! Yes I am going to have to knit them both something special with my new needles.
And Cyndi- he DOES have an older brother- who is a doctor actually. Unfortunately that brother is getting married this fall.

Congrats on your graduation. How cool to get those special gifts from the ones you can tell really love ya. How awesome that they support your love of knitting. My DH hasn't bought me any knitiing stuff of late but he did let me get tickets to go see Tim McGraw this summer. I think I will start knitting him something...Tim McGraw that is. LOL :-P
