Preferably free. I've wandered around the web, and searched on KH, but yet to find something I like. I know they're out there and am hoping someone else can help zero in on some options.

TIA,

When I think "stocking cap" I think of the long ones that have a tail hanging. Do you mean a regular hat or that type? How a little is the boy..baby? Toddler? Child? It helps if you can give as much info as possible.

Thanks, Jan! Yes, was thinking traditional hat style.

My nephew is barely 2-1/2 but his parents dress him in very upscale 'little man' clothes so I wanted something along those lines. LOVE the johnnysstew pattern (that's definitely a keeper)... and the Rav one is really nice, as well.

Kept running across the style with the ear flaps (Chu'llo?) but not sure that's something his parents would choose for him.

Thanks again,

The ear flap hats are actually good for toddlers because you can tie them on and they keep the ears warm. Little kids have a tendency to want to pull hats off.

That would be my thinking, as well, but I have to gauge what he wears based on pics that are sent to me (they live in the Midwest, I'm in SoCal). To this point, everything looks like small-scale menswear.

ETA: with that in mind, I made him a 'little big man's' cardi thinking it'd be in keeping with what he wears but he's since outgrown the size I made and never saw of pic of him in it. (They takes TONS of pics.) The hat will help me hone my fair isle skills and if not wanted can be donated.
