I'm finding more than one method and I'm not sure which is easier/better/whatever.

I learned to make a sock on 2 circs from knittingkorner's video and she does her gusset stitches and heel turn one way but my LYS owner likes to rearrange the sts on the needles,different from the way the video shows.

I have Ann Budd's book but she does hers on dpns and I don't know how to "translate" that for circs. I mean, not really.

P.S. I've looked at Silver's and it's great but I want CUFF DOWN not TOE UP. :)

There is no one best way so give one of them a try. If you don't like it then try the other way on the other sock. They'll come out the same.

I don't rearrange stitches. I keep the top of the foot stitches on one needle and keep all the heel/gusset stitches on the 2nd needle. After you've picked up the gusset stitches, the first few rounds are a tiny bit awkward until you get a few of your decrease rounds finished. But I much prefer it then to be moving stitches around.

Like Jan said, the method that works for you is the best for you to use.
